DeLCON - Elseiver's Webinar Session on 28th April 2020 (Tuesday)

DeLCON have arrange a Elseiver's Webinar Session on "FINE TUNING RESEARCH PLANNING USING ELSEVIER TOOLS: SCIENCEDIRECT, SCOPUS and MENDELEY" on 28th April 2020 (Tuesday) for all DeLCON Member Institutions during the Lockdown due to Covid-19 Corona Pandemic.

Webinar on "FINE TUNING RESEARCH PLANNING USING ELSEVIER TOOLS: Scopus, ScienceDirect & Mendeley" was successfully completed on 28thApril, 2020. To assist researchers working in DeLCON member institutes across India during this lockdown situation, Elsevier has open edupall content on the ScienceDirect platform along with access to premium journals like The Lancet, Cell Press etc. Complimentary Scopus access has also been extended to all members. The objective of this webinar was to accustom researchers on using these platforms and take maximum benefit out of it. Some key highlights of the workshop were:
  1. Total no. of Registrations: 155.
  2. The participants mainly consisted of research scholars and library professionals from all DeLCON Member Institutes.
  3. Peak attendance of 251participants. Average attendance 200+ at all times.
  4. Workshop was moderated by Dr. D.D.Lal, DeLCON Coordinator & Administrator, DBT's Electronic Library Consortium
  5. Mr. Vishal Gupta talked about Understanding the research/publishing workflow, how to choose appropriate journals and improve chances of getting published. He also shared several tips and tricks with the audience to help them publish in top journals. He also demonstrated how Scopus, ScienceDirect and Mendeley help researchers get answers to the most pressing issues in a researcher's career.
  6. Feedback Survey was done using SurveyMonkey. Summary is highlighted in the subsequent slides
